WINKOO guides

What colour goes with a beige sofa?

Beige needs depth. Deep green, rust or terracotta, navy or royal blue, and plum all stand out. Pick one colour and repeat it two or three times.

Which colour stands out against your beige?

Choose the beige closest to your sofa to see two colours that stand out.

  • Warm beige sofa: choose Jade Green or Royal Blue. Deep, cool colours stand out against warm beige.
  • Cool beige (greige) sofa: choose Sunlit Terracotta or Mulberry Purple. Warm colours add warmth to a cool beige.
  • Cream sofa: choose Royal Blue or Sunlit Terracotta. Strong colours look crisp against pale cream.

These are suggestions, not rules. Do you already love a colour in a cushion or an artwork? Then use that colour instead.

How do you repeat the colour?

  1. Choose one colour, such as plum.
  2. Look for it in a cushion or a throw you already own.
  3. Place the right piece, or the right pair, on a table near the sofa.

Two or three touches of one colour are enough. The colour then looks planned, and the beige sofa looks at home.

Which WINKOO piece adds the colour?

Every WINKOO vase comes in one solid colour, so it is easy to match. Most people choose Noma at 24 cm, which costs A$169.

The vase in the photo is Orrin in Mulberry Purple. A 24 cm Orrin also costs A$169.

Noma is our most chosen shape. Jade Green is our most chosen colour, and Royal Blue is in the top two.

Every piece is designed and made in Melbourne in small premium batches.

What if one piece looks a bit small?

Add a second piece in the same colour beside it. An 18 cm vase beside a 24 cm vase is the usual fix. Two heights give the spot a clear shape.

You can find the 18 cm size with our sculptural vases. You can also read how to style two vases together.

Your room doesn't need more. It needs the right piece, or the right pair.

Do you need to change anything else?

No, you can keep the sofa, the walls and the furniture you have. One repeated colour is enough.

Is your sofa grey? You can read what colour goes with a grey sofa. You can also try colours in our interactive studio.
